herpdaddy@livejournal.com BioThough most of you reading this probably know me already, in case someone happened to stumble across this page, here's a quick blurb about me. I'm not creative enough to put anything witty....what can I say.
I'm an ex-programmer (still clinging on to hope that I might go back to it someday) and now more of a technical liaison with our Japanese partners living in the Cleveland area who thought that this online journal thing might be a good way to keep in touch with people I don't get to see often...or at least they can look at what I'm doing and realize that they haven't really missed much... :)
I also recently found out that my user name may be a cause for some confusion...
My username came from the fact that up until very recently I owned a bunch of reptiles. Herpetology is the study of reptiles and amphibians. So amongst the reptile owning community it is shortened as "herp". So it's always "I'm going to the herp show" or "I own 5 herps" and so on.
Sooooo when I was thinking of a name, this was the name that I came up with naively not thinking about the fact that, in the general English speaking world, this may be misinterpreted as "short for herpes"....
*sigh*
So...no...I do not have any STD's. I'm quite clean. Really.
